Educational Qualification

The candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Candidates with higher qualifications can also apply, as mentioned in the notification.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the Canteen Attendant post will be placed in Pay Level-1 of the 7th Pay Commission.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in different stages. Eligible applications will first be screened, after which shortlisted candidates will be called for the written examination. The recruitment also includes a Skill Test and document verification.

The exam duration is 30 minutes, while candidates eligible for a scribe under the specified provisions will get 40 minutes. Each correct answer carries 1 mark, while 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions will be of Matriculation level and will be available in Hindi and English. 

Shortlisting for Written Exam

The department will initially shortlist 280 candidates, which is 40 eligible applications against each of the 7 vacancies. Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of total marks obtained in the Matriculation/10th examination

Skill Test

After the written examination, 70 candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test, with 10 eligible candidates considered against each vacancy.

The Skill Test will carry 60 marks and will check practical ability related to Canteen Attendant duties, including beverage preparation, basic food handling, preparation techniques, presentation, hygiene and cleanliness. 

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in the written examination and Skill Test, with selection against the available category-wise vacancies.
