Who Can Apply?
The applicant must be a domicile of Rajasthan. There is no educational qualification prescribed for the Safai Karmchari post.
However, candidates must have at least one year of cleaning work experience in any urban local body of Rajasthan. The one-year experience can be continuous or combined from separate periods. An experience certificate in the prescribed format is required.
A candidate can apply for only one urban local body. Applying for more than one ULB will result in cancellation of all applications.
Age Limit
Candidates should be at least 18 years old and below 40 years according to the applicable rules, with age calculated from 1 January 2027.
Age relaxation is available as per Rajasthan Government rules. For example, Rajasthan-domiciled SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS male candidates get 5 years’ relaxation, general-category women get 5 years, and SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS women get 10 years. Widows and divorced women have no upper age limit, subject to the applicable retirement-age condition.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive ₹7,440 per month as honorarium, as prescribed under the Labour Department notification dated 13 December 2024.
Selection Process
There is no written examination or interview mentioned for this recruitment. Eligible applicants will be selected through an online lottery process developed by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Rajasthan.
The preference order is:
- Candidates having 1 year cleaning experience in the same ULB where they applied.
- If vacancies remain, candidates having 1 year experience in another ULB of the same district.
