PHHC Driver Vacancy 2026
There are 25 Driver vacancies in total:
- General Category – 21 posts
- SC/ST/BC – 3 posts
- Ex-Servicemen – 1 post
Candidates from states other than Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh who apply under SC/ST/BC categories will be treated under the General Category for reservation purposes.
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Driver post must have passed 10+2. In addition, Punjabi or Hindi must have been one of the subjects in the matriculation examination.
Driving Licence & Experience
The candidate must have a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence. The High Court has specifically stated that merely holding a licence with a higher category endorsement will not be treated as proof of eligibility to drive an LMV.
Candidates must also:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in driving a car
- Not have been convicted for any offence related to negligent driving.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should be:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 35 years
The age will be calculated as on 18 September 2026.
For Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit will be relaxed by the period of defence service plus 3 years. All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled on the last date of application.
Salary / Pay
