The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP RRBs-XV Notification 2026 for recruitment to Group “A” Officers Scale-I, II & III and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India.

Maharashtra IBPS RRB Vacancies 2026

For Maharashtra, the notification shows:

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

This is a Group “B” post. Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB is essential, while working knowledge of computers is desirable. 

Officer Scale-I – Assistant Manager

Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Preference is given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, IT, Management, Law, Economics, Accountancy and related fields. Local-language proficiency and working computer knowledge are also specified. 

Officer Scale-II – General Banking Officer

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and 2 years’ experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution

Officer Scale-II – Specialist Posts

The specialist vacancies include:

  • IT Officer
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Law Officer
  • Treasury Manager
  • Marketing Officer
  • Agricultural Officer

The qualification and experience requirements differ for each post. For example, the IT Officer requires a relevant degree with minimum 50% marks and one year of relevant experience, while the Agricultural Officer requires a relevant Agriculture-related degree with minimum 50% marks and two years of relevant experience. 

Officer Scale-III – Senior Manager

Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and at least 5 years’ experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 1 September 2026.

For reserved categories, age relaxation is provided according to Government of India rules. SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC-NCL candidates get 3 years and PwBD candidates get 10 years of relaxation, subject to the applicable conditions. 

Special age concessions are also available for eligible Ex-Servicemen and certain widows/divorced women/women legally separated from their husbands for the Office Assistant post. 

Local Language Requirement

For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, proficiency in the prescribed local language of the participating RRB is an essential qualification.

  • Rajasthan – Hindi
  • Karnataka – Kannada
  • Tamil Nadu – Tamil
  • Telangana – Telugu/Urdu

Candidates who have not already studied the required local language may get six months from joining to acquire the required proficiency, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification. 

Selection Process

The selection process depends on the post.

Office Assistant

Preliminary Exam → Main Exam → Provisional Allotment

Candidates shortlisted after the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. Final merit for Office Assistants is based on the Main Examination score

Officer Scale-I

Preliminary Exam → Main Exam → Interview → Provisional Allotment

Officer Scale-II & III – –

Single Online Examination → Interview → Provisional Allotment

The interview is applicable only to Officer Scale-I, II and III

Candidates have to qualify in both tests to be shortlisted for the next stage. 

Main Exam – Office Assistant

The Main Examination contains 200 questions for 200 marks with a total duration of 120 minutes. Subjects include Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language and Numerical Ability. 

Main Exam – Officer Scale-I

Officer Scale-I also has 200 questions for 200 marks and a duration of 120 minutes, covering Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language and Quantitative Aptitude. 

Officer Scale-II & III

The Single Online Examination contains 200 marks for General Banking Officer and Scale-III. Specialist Officer examinations have a different structure and include Professional Knowledge along with other subjects. 

Negative Marking

There is a 0.25 mark penalty for every wrong answer in the Preliminary, Main and Single Online Examinations.

No penalty is imposed for questions left unanswered. 

Interview

The interview is conducted only for Officer Scale-I, II and III candidates.

The interview carries 100 marks, with minimum qualifying marks of 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. The final weightage of Online Examination and Interview is 80:20

How to Apply for IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026

Candidates can apply online only through the official IBPS website. 

Step 1: Visit the IBPS Website: https://www.ibps.in

Go to the official IBPS website and open the CRP RRBs section.

Step 2: Select the Correct Application

Choose either:

  • CRP-RRBs Office Assistants (Multipurpose), or
  • CRP-RRBs Officers Scale-I, II & III

A candidate can apply for Office Assistant and also apply for one Officer post. However, a candidate cannot apply for more than one Officer cadre post. 

Step 3: Complete Registration

Click “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and enter the required basic information. The system will generate a provisional registration number and password. 

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload the required:

  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Left thumb impression
  • Handwritten declaration
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Applicable disability documents

The notification also requires candidates to capture and upload a live photograph through a webcam or mobile phone during registration. 

Step 5: Fill Preferences and Check Details

For Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, candidates have to select the State/UT for provisional allotment. This choice becomes irrevocable after submission. 

Check every detail carefully before clicking Complete Registration, because several important fields cannot be changed later. 

Step 6: Pay Application Fee

Pay the applicable fee through the online payment gateway and complete the application.

After successful payment, an e-receipt will be generated. Candidates should save/print the e-receipt and completed application form for future use.
