Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is different for each post.
Engineering Officer Gr.1 –
Candidates should have a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognised university.
- Electrical post – Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Civil post – Civil Engineering
- A valid GATE Score of 2024, 2025 or 2026 is required.
- The GATE paper should match the relevant engineering branch.
Scientific Assistant –
Candidates should have:
- First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry
- 5 years of experience in the relevant field
Engineering Assistant –
Candidates should have:
- First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology
- Electrical or Mechanical branch as applicable
- 5 years of relevant experience
Technician Gr.1 –
Candidates should have the relevant ITI Trade Certificate:
- Electrical – ITI in Electrical
- Mechanical – ITI in Mechanical
Technical Attendant Gr.1 –
Candidates should have:
- Matriculation/10th Pass from a recognised Board
A 2-year ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical is desirable.
Assistant Grade II –

- First Class BA/B.Sc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA Degree
- Minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by NIELIT
The notification clearly states that only the NIELIT BCC certificate will be accepted for this requirement.
